Michelle Crockett

Associate Director of Bands

Mrs. Crockett taught general music from 2015-2023 for Lebanon City Schools and joined the LCS band department in 2023 as an assistant director. Prior to her time with Lebanon City Schools, she served as an assistant band director at schools in Tennessee, Alabama, and Washington Court House, Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Music Education from Miami University and her Masters in Educational Leadership from Tennessee Technological University. 

As a performer (flute), she is still active in community band and events. 

Mrs. Crockett resides in Lebanon with her husband and (3) children. She enjoys reading, attending musicals, traveling, home improvement projects, playing a variety of sports, watching her (3) children enjoy their musical and athletic endeavors and being with friends and family. 

 
 
 
 
 

David Iannelli

Assistant Director of Bands

Mr. Iannelli was the Director of Bands at Lebanon High School from 1994-2020 and now serves as the Assistant Director of Bands. He is an adjudicator, clinician and guest conductor throughout the region. He was music department chairperson for Coldwater Exempted Village School District from 1991-1994 and for Lebanon City Schools from 2003-2006.  He was also elected by his peers as president of OMEA (Ohio Music Education Association) from 2002-2004 in District 13. 

A native of Cincinnati, Mr. Iannelli received his Bachelor of Music Education degree in 1991 and his Masters of Music in Music Education degree in 2002 from Miami University where he was a conducting student of Mr. Gary Speck. Prior to his arrival at Lebanon he served for three years as Director of Bands at Coldwater Exempted Village Schools, where in 1993 his band earned the school’s only superior rating in the school’s history (before or since) at OMEA State Marching Band Finals.

Mr. Iannelli lives in Lebanon with his wife Vikki, his dog (Annabelle) and his cat (Murray). His children, Robin and Marco, are students at Miami University.  In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on his favorite teams, and studying meteorology. He also enjoys running, biking, and boxing. .

 
 
 
 

Wesley Michael

Assistant Director of Bands

Mr. Michael joined the Lebanon City Schools Music Department in 2024. Prior to his position at Lebanon, he held roles at Princeton City Schools in Cincinnati, OH, and River Valley Local Schools in Caledonia, OH. He is an alumnus of Wright State University, where he performed as a member of the horn section for the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and Chamber Orchestra, as well as singing baritone in the WSU Collegiate Chorale.

Mr. Michael is an active musician in Southwest Ohio, performing at various local venues and singing in Musica!, Dayton’s chamber choir. He also spent a season with the Seattle Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps in 2016.

As an instructor, Mr. Michael has worked with several band programs in the region, including Valley View HS, Coldwater HS, and Lakota East HS.

A native of the Miami Valley, Mr. Michael now resides in Lebanon with his partner, Troy, and their two cats, Herschel and Toad. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, sci-fi/fantasy media, and tabletop gaming

 
 
 

Stephanie Brown

Guard Director

Mrs. Brown brings over 30 years of experience in Color Guard and Winter Guard, with roots in the Michigan Color Guard circuit. She has a love for visual and show design and has created shows for teams across America. Mrs. Brown began her journey with Lebanon’s Band program in 2023, leading the Lebanon Little Arrows to a silver medal at states. Officially stepping in as Director in summer 2024, she focuses of fostering a positive culture for every student in the program. Although her time is largely dedicated to directing four winter guard teams, she still enjoys moments with her four beloved Dachshunds; Elvis, Ciller, Bad Hammer Jammer, and Sir Hunkalicious the Third from Bridgerton.

 

Morgan Kries

Guard co-Director

Mrs. Kries has been teaching Color Guard for 11 years, and has performed in various open and world class DCI & WGI ensembles including he Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets, The Crossmen, The Bluecoats, and InMotion Performance Ensemble. Mrs. Kries moved to Ohio from California, and has since completed her education at the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Finance and got married to her husband Ben last year. She currently works at GE Aerospace,and when she’s not at rehearsal she’s reading a book or watching the Bengals games with her family. She is so excited to be back this winter and can’t wait to keep working together with our amazing staff and wonderful students to create the best season possible for the Lebanon Guard program.
